Course Information

Course content

This workshop will provide the you with a solid, yet accessible theoretical and practical foundation to work relationally with your clients. We will explore together through a training workshop in the morning, lunch together (lunch is provided) and have an afternoon of relational group supervision to delve deeper and get to grips with the Relational TA in a real setting.

We've kept numbers to a small group - maximum 10 people - to ensure you get the best from the day.

Differentiating the relational from classical psychodynamic and the dynamics of the transferential relationship can be challenging. We believe that everyone can learn to work relationally, irrespective of whether they identify with the classical, redecision, cathexis, or another school of TA philosophy.

What is Relational TA?

The need for a relational school in Transactional Analysis grew out of the necessity to work in therapy with people who present with disorders of the self more efficiently. The basic tenets of relational TA are derived from concepts belonging to self-psychology and object relations.

Learning Outcomes

The key outcomes from the workshop are:

  • An accessible theoretical framework and models that supports your clinical thinking.
